Raeburn Rangers 1 - 7 Marquis PBS Rangers

Game was only a contest for the 1st 20 minutes, Raeburn having some early efforts and a blatant penalty ignored.

Once the score went to 3-0 the game ended and the scoreline at half time was 5-0

Marquis stepped off the pace 2nd half but could have got more if they wanted too.

There was some talk around that some players were making their 1st appearances of the season for Marquis.......

Good laugh today, Bridge were a good bunch of lads with good banter. Could have been thirty but for some awful finishing and fine goalkeeping.

Not the best footballing game. Pretty close and scrappy as always but another win.

A poor performance from the League leaders, but all credit to Aymer who seemed well up for the battle.
Dorve actually took a 1st half two goal lead, after a cracking through ball from Tony Burnett was excellently lobbed over the goalie by James Wotherspoon, and a Titus Paterson corner was sweetly half volleyed home by Chris Paine. Adam Burton missed a great chance for Aymer, before they pulled a goal back just before half-time (not sure of the scorer).
Aymer sprung the offside trap early in the 2nd half for Gav Willis to tap home & level the scores. At that stage it looked like they would go on to win the game, but it was Dorve who pressed harder in the last 10, with Aaron MacMillan firing over a golden chance from 7 yards in the dying stages.

3 games against Aymer down, 1 to go!!!

Yep, well done to Aymer. I think they worked harder than Dorve and deserved at least the draw they got. Having said that the change to leave just 1 up front for the last 20 minutes probably showed they were happy to settle for a point, and that could have proved costly if A Macmillan had fired home late on!

Not sure if the Dorve/Aymer cup game will take place cos i was told the league had abandoned the SSFL Cup? Anybody know if this is correct?

That would be the biggest joke ever! You cannot just abandon a league cup

There must only be 16 teams left in it surely? Making it 3 more games on a Sunday at most

Surely any major announcemnets like that would be made on the cracking ( ) website that is so informative!!!

From what I understand, the George Millyard Cup (which has Dorve, Spread & King George in the semis and awaiting either Millhouse or Withdean Grange to complete the set) and the SSFL Trophy have been put on hold while the League try to get the League matches up to date!

The SSFL Trophy is still only at the 3rd round stage - so might be a problem, especially if the weather takes a turn for the worse again!

Never mind - at least we've got a break this weekend?!!!
