Raeburn Rangers v Aldrington Falcons double header

Game 1 - Raeburn 3 - 0 Aldrington. Goal scorer, Gillingham X 3.

Game 2 - Raeburn 1 - 2 Aldrington. Goal scorer, May.

Bad week to have a double header for Raeburn, missing our keeper with broken fingers, our captain Pullinger with a thigh strain and goal scorer Mcdowell with ankle ligament damage, as well as 3 other usual starters and other squad members missing.

Aldrington battled well 2nd game and hung on for the points.

In 2 weeks time we have another double header against Black Horse, lets hope we have some players back!

No game for us today. Presume we have Aldrington or Old Brightonians next Sunday.

Could have been 15-0 if we got out of 2nd gear and took our chances. Happy with maximum points again though. :D

CS Roofing 3 -2 Seaford Wellington

Went two-nil down after about 25 mins, managed to score from a deflected free-kick to go in 2-1 down at Halftime.

Different game in the 2nd half, and scored with 20 mins to go to mkae it 2-2, then hit the bar before 5 mins from the end a Stevens free kick won it for us.

SW should prob feel aggrieved to get nothing from the game, but that must be the worst we have played for a long time in the first 45, very poor [-X

Varndean Rovers 3-2 Withdean Athletic,

decent game, we played the better football out of the two sides, but threw away a two goal lead with some shocking defending, ref had a good game and was up for having a laugh with both sides

only real incident was the referee (Dave Bull) sending their player off after the game for calling him a f**king c**t for not giving a penalty when his own player tripped him.

DOR'VE PHLATSEO 1 vs 1 MILLHOUSE
========================
Crunch match at the top of the Premier League saw the two sides battle out a 1-1 draw in a game that was a long way off the standard of the 1st meeting between the sides that finished 3-3!
Difficult pitch that was still frozen down the tree-lined side, and quite bobbly in other parts!

Dorve took the lead through Graham Martin early on, then defended resolutely under a barrage of crosses and Stoke style long throws from Nick Lansdale, as Millhouse piled the pressure on. The fact that Dor've's keeper, Matt Evans, got their Man of the Match tells a story, despite being clattered a few times. =D>
The Mill equalised early in the 2nd half through a Mark Pulling penalty as Dave Marsh was harshly penalised for a tackle - it looked to me like he won the ball, but may have taken the winger's legs in the process - it wasn't clear cut but you could see why the ref gave it!

Dor've had a few chances of their own that they failed to take and were denied a penalty of their own when sub James Wotherspoon was bundled over late on - just before Evans made a fantastic tip over from a Mark Pulling lob to deny the Mill all 3 points. All in all, probably a fair result on chances created.

Must have helped big style playing a side that wasnt allowed to play half of thier players? Fair play to White Hart though, you can only beat what is in front of you as the saying goes!
Who looks most likely to win Lewes now then?

Your right the game was nowhere as entertaining as the previous meeting between these sides, but was competitive as ever. The Stoke style long throws from the Lansdale brothers aimed at Clay Lamont are relentless, but thought Dorve defended them really well especially Nathan Loughlin and Keeper Matt Evans. Full credit to Millhouse who are not prepared to let the title go without a fight.

To my knowledge they had 3 players not playing who possibly could have been, Joe Dryer, Altendorff and Ben Dartnell. Jason Sowter and Scott Dartnell both played, as did Dan Craghill and Craig Brown. Iv certainly seen worse Bridgeview teams in recent seasons.
As for the title, still Garden Bars to lose for me, with White Lion hot on their heels. Should be a decent run in.

To clarify Dave Altendorff, Ben Dartnall, Joe Dryer, Trotty, and Matt Rhodes all played no part. Scott Dartnall, Craig Brown and Lusky only played part of the game(s) and probably shouldnt have played at all because of injuries.

That said with the sides we fielded we should've been more competitive than we were especially going in level at half time both games, credit to White Hart who took control of both games and showed determination to take maximum points. The White Hart side was also lacking some familiar faces from previous seasons, i cant comment on whether this was a one off or that a few have hung up their boots?

The timing of the game didnt help, i fully expect we will have 17-18 available for this Sunday such is football, the only excuse for the poor results i will offer is that individually and collectively we simply didnt fancy it on the day, myself probably being the worst offender.

To be fair, we did had to call upon two 2nd team players in Daniel Murray & Wayne Bashford, talk about scraping the barrel. X

Pink Flamingos 10-3 Drove Park

Reserves 3-3 Olympic Saltdean Oval

A decent result for the 1sts. Tom Deveson got himself a first half hattrick, Ed Bartram a second half hattrick! James Westlake chipped in as usual with 2 and Matt Siddaway got one returning from uni! James Twiddy also got on the score sheet but should have 4 or 5 more, every shot he had forced the keeper to make a wonder save and somebody else was on hand to tap home!

Reserves very very unlucky not to get all 2 points. Not to make any excuses of course, but you are unlikely to win games when the referee awards goals that go over the crossbar! O well, you win some you lose some!
