Pagham should think very carefully about this situation as I see a pattern from years gone by with a certain manager in charge of wick , east Preston and littlehampton and what happened to them after he stepped up stairs , don't burn bridges as good youth players who want to train and commit r very hard to find . Dans a good lad a bit thick thou lol I'm sure he will be snapped up by someone and bring a team with him ...

I hope this has been sorted out now? Has both dans left the club? Will the u18s carry on? Lets hope that the answer is yes to all these question, for the sake of all youth football in England. And both Dans grow up.

Well, I think this is a pretty good thread. Beats all that anaemic subject matter.

Seems to me that the key to this is the bit those of us on the outside cannot judge - what's the detail of the "disagreement" which originally kicked all of this off? If there was very poor behaviour on behalf of the player (and clearly there is currently no evidence of this), then I would support the club in taking a firm stance. You can't have a situation where the 1st team manager makes a decision that a player shouldn't represent the club but then that player goes off and is picked to play in another team.

On the other hand, if the incident was indeed exactly as described by DS (i.e. he was promised a start and then was kept on the bench...and nothing else went on or was said) then I can understand the frustration of the player and the desire to go elsewhere for his footy. After all, as is mentioned above, it's only County League and not anything too serious.

And you're right if you're thinking this has probably nothing to do with me. But it's still an interesting situation and not entirely atypical of life at our level is it?

I will quote this as it seriously isn't from me...

"They have named Brent Williams as the new Pagham secretary and also the U18's manager"

That is all.

there is nothing on the Pagham web sites official or unofficial and surley a committee has to be voted out same as a chairman. This is getting silly now

Three defeats 'on the spin' doesn't bode well for the 'media's favourite' apropos the England job does it?

Gorra larf eh?

Harry's always wanted to be manager of West Ham, Portsmouth, Southampton, Spurs, England.....Pagham.

Hey, I tell you what, if Harry became manager of Pagham it would bring the TV cameras in!

Just an idea.

maybe then they can send a camera down to unblock the drains so the youth can play
