£500 is a fantastic achievement, well played.

Sorry I couldn't stick around at the end - but have to say it all looked great fun

Jacko

Thank you so much for the shirt donations mate, I auctioned them off after the game and we made over £200 on them alone!

It'll be closer to 550 with the fireman day still to auction off. Can't thank everyone enough for a great day. Darren Eaton, Kay Weller, Bob Marchant, all from the Nomad team, Ken Brook, Bob Munners, all take a bow, and thank you so much.

Bear.... Perhaps I wouldn't have missed sooooo many chances if you all didn't decide to play your childish game and keep drilling every ball into the corner for me to run after for the first 20 minutes and I would have had a little more energy?

There was one point when I looked at Tobi and said, "Seriously?" after having to make another 40 yard run, only to get to the ball and then tread on it and watch it roll out of play!!

One goal and 3 assists will do me, apologies for the penalty, I leant too much to the left as my CAPTAIN'S ARMBAND was weighing me down!!

But the question must be asked.... At half time we said we should take it easy as we were strolling it, so Fatjack comes on and the whole shape of the team (Literally!) went to pot!!

Loved the raction from Gonzo when they got their 6th goal!!

Bear is the only one who can hold his had high, the rest of us were pants and Chalay was a disgrace!

Final comment of the day was Crofty asking waht he was meant to do when someone hits a 30 yarder towards the top corner..... to which I replied, "Dive!!"

Strangely enough I bumped into Mr Gander in East Croydon this morning.

Thanks guys for a top day yesterday. It was great fun and a good game to be involved in. Clearly you were slaughtering us in the first half and the loan of the 2 boys was good of you. It made for a watchable second half. Our boys enjoyed the trip, we look forward to the next one. Cheers all.
