Hollington Utd dominating ESFL

Postby Jaydub » Sun Oct 02 2005, 22:43

After another 10 - 0 win in the ESFL premiership, this time against Mountfield, and currently fielding unbeaten sides in both the Premiership and Division 1. Hastings based Hollington look set to dominate this season in the ESFL.

32 goals for and 1 against from 5 games is pretty impressive by any league standards.

Have they the facilities or the ambition to apply for County League Division 3 for next season?

I'm not sure of their aspirations, and can't speak on behalf of them. But they certainly have the ability to cut it in the SCFL.

They remind me of 'Stella Artois' a few years back that were based in Tunbridge Wells, they had arguably better players than the Town side yet never played in the bigger leagues, although supplied many players to Tonbridge Angels, Tunbridge Wells and the like.

Jaydub are they still playing at Wishingtree Road if so theres definately no chance of county league football there. This same subject came up towards end of last season where i mentioned Hollington and Rock-a-nore have dominated this league since the early 70's The only realistic site for future county league football in Hastings is St.Leonards ground at the firs which i believe is used by the social club football team there. I'm a bit out of touch on the Hastings football scene so please correct me if i'm wrong
