Anybody who is interested should contact the club's chairman Stuart Black via their website www.polegatetownfc.co.uk

Polegate Town are still on the look out for a 1st team manager for next season. The club have their AGM on Tuesday 21st May, so anyone who is interested is more than welcome to attend. Ideally, the club would like to have the new manager in before the start of pre-season training in early July.

Any questions about the role or application can be made to the clubs secretary via email at or by visiting the clubs website www.polegatetownfc.co.uk

The club is well run both on and off the pitch, and any manager would get the full backing from the committee. The club has 2 teams in the Mid Sussex League, with the 1st team finishing 5th in the Championship.

With Charter Standard, success in the Championship, can I ask why you don't apply for SCL div 3 level?

Until we reach the Premiership of the MSFL we won't be able to apply for County 3.

And despite some great facilities to offer spectators, unfortunately the size of the changing area for the referees isn't big enough and major work on the pavilion would need permission from the council (along with investment into the facilities).

Every groundhopper that has visited our club have always left impressed with the work that we put in on match days, and hopefully with a more consistent season on the pitch next year, we can push for promotion to be a step nearer climbing the football ladder.

Thanks for the reply. With the SCL apparently desperate for new inclusions, with your facilities, perhaps it'd be worth writing in stating your claim.

I think these days it may be more about facilities and what can be expected from your club by visiting clubs'. I know there are the rules but if the County lose their step levels because of a lack of clubs', something has to give.

Still, who knows a...

Best of luck.
