Sad news for a club like Wick with great history and are suffering so bad. A sign of the times. A real shame.
All the best to everyone at Wick I hope you turn the corner quickly.

Management team has walked out apparently... still dubious of the claim they can't raise 15 players... but what do I know?

My son is 16 years old and has been in goal for Wick for a lot of the season. We keep out of whatever it is that is going on as all he wants to do is play football and he has gained great experience at this level. Who knows what will happen between now and the end of the season. What I will say though is that everyone there has been very good to him. Anyone looking for a good young keeper for next year?

Clymping will be looking for new young talent next season. We do currently have a first class goal keeper, but a young lad will learn a lot from him and will get game time on merit. We need to have a squad fighting for places

Steve, i saw your boy play in the home game against Mile Oak and have to say i was very very impressed and shocked to hear he was only 16 years old. If the right club get hold of him next year im sure he will progress to be a very good county league keeper, unfortunately that club doesnt look like being Wick. Seems like decent young keepers is a common theme in the Arun area what with the guy at Littlehampton too.

The guy at Littlehampton is a fine keeper and could be moving onward and upward next season, so there could be a slot for him there adding to what is already a very young squad.

Eric, thank you very much for your nice words. He's had a good season and as I said in my original post everyone at wick have been very good to him. It's been great experience and his given him his first taste of senior football. He wants to push on from here and I am very glad that he seems to avoided having to play park football!

I thought Wick had signed that young lad from Pagham, Simmonds was it - have the rest of the team boycotted the side now ? Strange happenings indeed....is Stabler returning, has the Pagham Secretary/Wick physio dropped a clanger, will Coxy bring the youth team over to Wick for the rest of the season, better than Corrie this, eh ??

Indeed ryan and dave have both resigned, but keith has already got a new manager in place, mike williamson i believe it is, ex south bersted and pagham assistant manager.

Not sure yet what will happen for us between now and the end of the season, there is no 2nds or under 18's to call upon, most weeks we've been grateful to get one sub, let alone get 15 players, it's been that difficult to get players with so many clubs around the area and as at least 4 of the side who featured against southwick were ryan's signings who may well have made themselves unavailable.

Providing we can make it to the end of the season then hopefully we can re-build again and start to move forward as a club and head in the right direction!
