Haywards Heath Town v Whyteleafe

Postby fanbase » Sun Mar 17 2019, 09:30

Haywards Heath Town made it 8 league games without defeat with their 3-1 home win over Whyteleafe, which keeps them in a playoff position. The Heath didn't look to be in the game at the start and went one behind on 13 minutes. After the goal, the rest of the half was very lacklustre and affected by the strong wind. The Heath came out for the second half looking stronger and equalised through Andrew Dalhouse after 54 minutes. Callum Saunders added a second with a delightful volley into the top corner on the hour. The points were made safe in the 74th minute when Saunders converted a penalty after Karly Akehurst had been brought down.
