The F.A inter-league Cup / Rep side

Postby sister dew » Fri Sep 16 2011, 09:33

@ all Chairmen , players and managers, lets hope the re-naming of this cup competition and the chance of representing England in a Uefa Competition doesnt mean everyone will suddenly bend over backwards to help out the Rep side!

what im trying to say is...

although the rep side was unbeaten last year and are in the national cup it sometimes seems that some players/clubs/officials seem to think its a chore to be selected!! i know if i was still playing id love to represent my county (again) .

Let's not get too carried away. You would not actually be representing your county. It is an inter league competition, so you would be representing your league.

Alfie you are correct about the inter league comp ,but missed out that they play kent every year and also are playing wiltshere in the fa nlsc in october so i believe this means that they are playing for the county , regarding clubs and players supporting the rep side we will just have to wait for the squad to be named and see what players pull out due to work commitments or injury then have amazingly recovered for there club side three or four days later !! (irony) and then we will find out what clubs dont support the rep squad, as i believe it the wiltshere game is on a saturday. why on earth a player wouldnt want the chance to represent there country if they won this competition is beyond me, or maybe they just want to be a star at club level. And just to mention when i managed the side a few years ago there were and still is some clubs that bend over backwards to support the rep team .
