At last it's out - now the verdict

Postby seafordtillidie » Fri Jun 06 2008, 23:51

Picked up my copy at the County League Dinner tonight and have just managed to browse through it.

As promissed it is packed with great pictures that tell the story of the season around the County.

I'm sure every club is featured and I bet as soon as the players realise they are imortalised in this book forever they will be will rushing to the website to order their own copies, just imagine sitting the grandson on the knee in 20 years time and telling him how that shot rippled the net from 40 yards out

Can you afford not to have your own copy

My verdict - worth the wait, thanks Dave and Terry

Thanks for the positive comments ... and yes, every club is featured.

It would be really useful to receive any feedback on this thread. The book could have been twice the size but we simply couldn't afford it However, we hope you like most of our selections.

Surprisingly, a lot of people at the Dinner didn't seem to be aware that we were selling copies last night. We did ask for some sort of announcement to be made but I'm not sure whether there was.

Anyway, as you can imagine I have lots of books to send out so please be patient - if you pre-ordered you will get your copy soon.

Hopefully, once reviews start appearing and people start seeing copies of the book, demand will increase: http://www.ccpub.co.uk/Books/Book%20order%20form.pdf

I think that "READ" can be taken as looking at the pictures! in fact, if you can send Dorve a comic book version, i'm sure he'll be more than happy

We actually had your copy at the dinner on Friday but there was no-one there from Wick!

Pre-ordered copies will be sent out by second class post over the next week or so. They are all packaged up but as you can imagine weigh a fair bit collectively and I don't want to over-burden my small sub-post office with 150-odd books all at once! I'll get through them as quickly as possible but please be patient ... I assure you it will be well worth the wait.

I hand-delivered 25 copies around Eastbourne yesterday so if anyone is reasonably local they can collect from me or I may be able to drop them 'round.

Pre-orders were posted out this morning albeit 2nd class ... they should arrive by the end of the week, hopefully sooner.

Once again a big thanks to all those who took a chance and supported Terry and myself.

Just got mine in the post. Fan-blinking-tastic
Very good coverage of all clubs, quality pics and a really good monthly summary.

Well done David and Terry

PS Terry, I noticed you have moved to Horsham, just as we move to Worthing. Is there something you want to tell me??

Got mine today aswell, bloody awesome, really is a well thought out and presented book, well done to both Terry and David

However check out page 104 for a small spelling mistake Doesn't detract from from the sheer quality of everything else though ...............

Just got home and found my copy was delivered today. Brilliant. Well done David and Terry for all your hard work compiling it. The result shows it was well worth it.
