Me and Walton (Tye) are going away on the 13th too, so we would also have to miss it,

The way things are looking chaps I think it unlikely that we will be playing on 15 July. I have been chasing and chasing but there is a delay at the Bognor end with regards opposition. I had hoped that things could have been confirmed by Monday at the lastest, but have still not heard.

There is still time but my feeling is that Sunday 15 July may be too short notice - what does everyone else think?

Alternatively, we are going to look at another option for a Memorial Game as Geoff, Dean and I are still committed to staging an event in Ben's memory. We will have a new kit and obviously want to use it.

Like you Dave I have been very frustrated by Bognors hold ups.

I feel we should do our own Nomad v Sussex Vets XI in honour of Bens services to the Sussex County League.

There are enough Sussex "Legends" out there who would be prepared to play for the Legends and between us lot we have enough players.

Might also be better to make it September/October time so that people are all back from their hols. (Also Im in the US between 14th August and 3rd September and really wanna be part of it too!!)

What do people think - lets bring it on!

Good idea Deano but hold off for the moment as I hope to have a plan going in the next few days and will brief you on it, although perhaps September will be a good time.

I need to phone someone but currently I am rather struck down with severe ear/jaw ache and have to go to hospital today.

Will be in touch.

Tye, just back off a few in Crouch End ... no developments BUT it will happen and October/November may be a good time but we will have the game, possibly at your new home ground...
